This one is a little more on the mythical fun side, however, are they really myths? Cryptids are creatures that are rumoured to exist, with sightings that go back to the beginning of time as we know it. They’re not recognized by the scientific community because there hasn’t been any tangible enough proof to study the beings. None of the interplanetary beings want to be subjects, participating in a science project that would cause us to expire, just for their research purposes…The cryptids definitely won’t, the term "cryptid" was coined by John E. Wall in 1983 and refers to any creature whose existence is claimed but not yet proven by science. While some cryptids may have a basis in reality, others are purely the stuff of legend and folklore.

 

 There are many different types of cryptids, ranging from creatures of the sea to creatures of the land. Some of the most famous cryptids include Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Chupacabra. However, there are many lesser-known cryptids as well, each with their own unique characteristics and rumoured sightings. One such cryptid was recently discovered in the Philippines, spotted on February 16th (my earthday! Every anniversary I live to experience is monumental to me, uncharted territory I haven’t had kids as a woman, since I was Kleopatra. I have been advising people that we will be seeing more of these different non human “cryptid” and “mythical” species, the veil of illusion has been gone since December 2021. These beings were here always, they were cloaked from humans because many humans are still unevolved. My most recent music video “ Follow Through” is more than a video and song, I summoned all that is hidden on this planet to be revealed.

 

 It’s no coincidence, that they’re getting closer to finding my old Kleopatra tomb, my spell work is powerfully solid even after all this time. To this day, no man has found my old tomb or will as I stated thousands of years ago and people still quote it now. My ethnicity is exactly the same as when I was Patra except the Italian part of me now, is new. The women I chose for the discovery of Kleopatra’s tomb, will find me by the end of the year I’m gonna make it easier for them when I visit my old base in Egypt this year before the fall. They just discovered a new opening by the pyramids of Giza…All of earth secrets will be revealed.). 

 

 The sighting of the fabled Cryptid was first shared by a couple of teenagers and then a few more towns folk saw the creature themselves, it’s believed that the mythical being they have encountered is a Manananggal. Which appears to have bat like and human features, a nocturnal creature that has visited nightly according to some residents, they’re fear is that the creature will attack pregnant women and babies. There is an ongoing police investigation and splits its body in half to hunt. The residents of the small town are worried because that’s not the only cryptid sighting in the Philippines. Dubbed the "mysterious rodent," this small creature was first spotted in the country's Cordillera region in 2018. It was initially thought to be a new species of rodent, but genetic testing revealed that it was in fact a previously unknown species of mammal. While this discovery is exciting, it is just one of many cryptids that have been reported over the years. 

 

Here are some of the different types of cryptids and other mystical creatures that are most popular:

 

Fairies: Not the typical species that one would think of when you mention a cryptid. I personally think they and mermaids belong here. It wasn’t until last Christmas that I found out Greeks have the same folklore on Fey that the Irish and many others do. That story is the beginning of Disneys “Sleeping Beauty”, the fairies bless the baby with gifts trying to keep it safe and protected from the evil fairies who want to curse them. That films villain ended up being Maleficent but in the original tale and the Disney film, it was the “good” fairies who kidnapped the child. Maleficent already cursed the baby, there wasn’t any need for the fairies to take her and raise her in the woods! The only difference between the Disney version and the real legend is…If the fairies don’t like you or your baby, they will swap it out with a changeling abducting the original child and cursing your family.

 These supernatural beings are often depicted as tiny, winged creatures with magical powers and mischievous personalities. While fairy tales and stories about fairies have captivated imaginations for centuries, the origins and folklore surrounding fairies are much more complex and diverse than many people realize. Stories about fairies can be traced back to ancient times, with similar beings appearing in Celtic, Norse, and Germanic mythology. In Celtic folklore, fairies were known as "sidhe" or "aes sidhe," and were believed to be a race of supernatural beings who lived in the hollow hills and mounds scattered throughout the countryside. These beings were said to possess powerful magic and could control the natural world, often intervening in the lives of humans for their own amusement.

 

 Similarly, in Norse mythology, fairies were known as "elves" or "alfar," and were considered to be guardians of nature and protectors of the earth. They were believed to have the ability to shape-shift, disappear and reappear at will, and could control the weather and other natural phenomena. In Germanic mythology, fairies were known as "wights," and were believed to be the spirits of the land and the natural world. They were considered to be benevolent beings, who would aid farmers and other workers in the fields in exchange for offerings and respect for the land. Despite these differences in cultural traditions and beliefs, there are some common threads that connect the folklore surrounding fairies. One of the most striking is their mischievous nature. Fairies were often portrayed as playing tricks on humans, such as leading them astray in the woods or stealing their possessions. This mischievousness could sometimes turn dangerous, as fairies were believed to be capable of causing illness or death if provoked or offended.

 

 Another common theme in fairy folklore is their connection to the natural world. Fairies were believed to have a close relationship with the plants, animals, and landscape around them, and could control the forces of nature through their magic. This connection to the natural world also meant that fairies were often associated with the changing seasons, and were thought to play a role in the cycle of birth, growth, and decay. In some cultures, fairies were also believed to have a strong sense of justice, and would often intervene in human affairs to right wrongs or punish those who behaved unjustly. This sense of justice was sometimes tempered by a capriciousness, however, as fairies were known to take offence at even the slightest perceived insult.

 

Bigfoot/Sasquatch: Perhaps the most famous of all cryptids, Bigfoot is said to be a large, bipedal ape-like creature that lives in forests and wilderness areas. Sightings of Bigfoot have been reported across North America for centuries, and numerous researchers and enthusiasts have dedicated their lives to finding evidence of its existence.

 

Loch Ness Monster: Another well-known cryptid, the Loch Ness Monster is said to be a large, aquatic creature that inhabits Scotland's Loch Ness. Reports of the creature date back centuries, with many claiming to have seen a long-necked creature swimming in the lake's murky depths. Personally, I believe that they exist because they’re dinosaurs, probably a Plesiosaur and there has to be multiples of them or a portal to them.

 

Chupacabra: The Chupacabra is a cryptid that is said to inhabit parts of the Americas, particularly in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the southwestern United States. It is described as a small, reptilian creature that feeds on the blood of livestock, leaving behind a distinctive set of puncture wounds.

 

Mothman: The Mothman is a cryptid that was first reported in West Virginia in the 1960s. It is said to be a large, winged creature with glowing red eyes that is often associated with tragedy and disaster.

 

Jersey Devil: The Jersey Devil is a cryptid that is said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey. It is described as a flying, goat-like creature with bat wings and a forked tail.

Yeti/Abominable Snowman: The Yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman, is said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. It is described as a large, ape-like creature that is covered in shaggy fur and is said to be extremely elusive.

 

Thunderbird: The Thunderbird is a cryptid that is said to inhabit the skies of North America. It is described as a large bird with a wingspan of up to 20 feet, and is often associated with storms and thunder.

 

Mermaids/Mermen: Mermaids, mermen, and sirens are all mythical creatures that are often associated with the sea. While they share some similarities, there are also distinct differences between them. Mermaids and mermen are typically depicted as half-human, half-fish creatures, with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a fish. They are often associated with beauty, grace, and enchantment, and are said to possess magical powers such as the ability to control the sea and its creatures. Sirens, on the other hand, are typically portrayed as bird-like creatures, similar to a harpy but more attractive, with the head and upper body of a woman and the wings and lower body of a bird. 

 

 They are often confused with mermaids and depicted as dangerous, alluring creatures who use their enchanting voices to lure sailors to their doom. Mermaids and mermen are typically viewed as benevolent creatures, sirens are often portrayed as malevolent beings who seek to harm humans (real mermaids don’t like humans). In some stories, sirens are said to have the power to kill those who hear their songs, while in others they are said to simply lead sailors to their deaths by causing them to crash their ships on rocks or reefs. Despite their differences, all three creatures share a common theme of mystery, enchantment, and danger.

 

 Many cryptids are dismissed as hoaxes or misidentifications, others continue to fascinate and intrigue people around the world. Where there’s multiple encounters of various beings there must be some truth to the sightings and as technology improves and our understanding of the natural world expands, it is possible that we may one day discover the truth behind these mysterious creatures.
